Abstract

NACIE-UP test loop with lead-bismuth eutectic has fuel pin bundle simulator to measure clad temperature and heat transfer coefficients in the sub-channels. Natural circulation of liquid metal is provided in the loop. A gas-lift system provides forced circulation in the loop. Test facility is equipped with induction flow meters, differential manometers, and thermocouples. The paper reports the description of the experiment, the proposed test matrix and description the technological solution adopted for the NACIE-UP implementation.
